What is Pico Laser (Enlighton SR)?

Traditionally, Q-switched lasers have been the mainstream used for tattoo removal and bruise treatment. Q-switched laser irradiates for an extremely short time of nanoseconds, and for machine-carved tattoos, it has been used to treat 7 to 15 times. More difficult hand-carved tattoos and birthmarks located deep within the skin often require more time and treatment.

Pico Laser Enlighton SR can remove tattoos and permanent makeup more beautifully and in a shorter period of time than conventional lasers.

At Sasayuri Health Clinic, we use Cutera’s enLIGHTen pico laser, which has been approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, for treatment. Among the Pico Lasers, we use the latest version of the Pico Laser Enlighton SR.

The pico in a pico laser is a unit of length, similar to the nano in a Q-switched laser. The shorter the laser irradiation time, the more pigment can be destroyed without causing thermal degeneration of the skin. After repeated research to shorten the irradiation time, a laser that can irradiate in picoseconds, which is shorter than nanoseconds, was finally developed. That is Pico Laser Enlighton SR.

Skin damage caused by heat can be minimized

It can irradiate in an incredibly short time compared to conventional laser equipment! Pico lasers can irradiate in (1/1 trillionth) seconds compared to nanoseconds (1/1 billion) seconds, making it possible to crush melanin with shock waves without causing any stress on the skin due to heat. !

*The laser emitted by Pico Laser Entline SR is only a moment of 750ps (picoseconds).
